Beautiful in His Time

Gary and I headed to the cobblestone town of Medicine Park in the beautiful Wichita Mountains of southwest Oklahoma. Easter Week we flew into Oklahoma City to spend time with our family.

Our son, Luke, his wife Angela, and their four girls make their home in Medicine Park where they own a unique toy and book store, Discovery Outpost.

Check out Discovery Outpost funventures).

DiscoveryOutpostInsideA few days later the six of us headed north to the historic, quaint town of Guthrie where we met up with our son Rex, his wife Lanie, and their son and daughter. For the next few days Rex and Lanie’s place became home to the twelve of us. It was a joy to be together again!

EasterLunchGuthrie2018Easter Sunday, we worshiped our Lord Jesus together at Frontline Church, where Rex is part of the staff.

As I think about my life, as I think about my family…I am reminded of God’s faithfulness…and this song, “My Tribute” written by Andra’e Crouch comes to my mind:

How can I say thanks for the things
You have done for me?
Things so undeserved yet You gave
To prove Your love for me
The voices of a million angels
Could not express my gratitude
All that I am, and ever hope to be
I owe it all to Thee

To God be the glory, to God be the glory
To God be the glory for the things He has done
With His blood He has saved me
With His power He has raised me
To God be the glory for the things He has done

Just let me live my life and
Let it be pleasing Lord to Thee
And if I gain any praise, let it go to Calvary
With His blood He has saved me
With His power He has raised me
To God be the glory for the things He has done.

In James 5:16b we read, “The prayer of a righteous person (mom/dad) is powerful and effective.”

Have you been praying for your loved ones and not seeing answers? Don’t lose heart. Continue praying. God’s timing is not always our timing. Yet, I have experienced His faithfulness, in HIs timing, again and again and again. Praise the Name of the Lord Jesus forever!

Included is this month’s Scripture Prayer Calendar. Click on the Calendar and the Calendar opens BIGGER in a separate window so that you can read the scripture references easily.

Look up the verse for the day and turn it into a prayer.

The Calendar has helped me, and many other people, to faithfully pray for our loved ones day-after-day, month-after-month, year-after-year.  I print my Calendar and keep it with my Bible. Feel free to print the Calendar, too.  Join me as we pray for our loved ones…our good, good Father is listening.

“God has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end” (Ecclesiastes 3:ll).

  1. As always Rhonda, this story blessed me. Your right, God’s timing is not our timing, but he has showed up and done many miracles in our lives. 12 years ago today, April 5th, 2006,you took me to the Woman’s Home and God began the miracle in my life you had prayed and believed for, for many years. P T L !!! I am a new creation in Christ. I love you big sis !!!

    1. My dear sister Rosie, How quickly the time has gone by. I thank my God and my Savior for His faithfulness! Truly, how can we say thanks for all the things He has done for us? We are forever in His debt. Praise the Name of Jesus forever. I have known you all my life…and you are a great blessing to me and to so many other people. I love you always and forever!!!
