I’m excited to share a good report. Last month, DMW hosted the Northwest Christian Deaf Men’s Retreat.

There were a total of 95 men in attendance from all over Washington State and several other states as well.

Rev. John Graham from Ontario, Canada was the 2017 speaker for the Northwest Christian Deaf Men’s Retreat. Great theme, “Breakthrough!”

Rev. John Graham, from Ontario, Canada, was the guest speaker at the Men’s Retreat. The theme was, “Breakthrough”.

John did a wonderful job of teaching how God can help us men to overcome and have a spiritual breakthrough with struggles, addictions, difficulties, temptations, and anything that is preventing us from having a victorious relationship with God.

The scripture John used for the 15873227_1494393610590515_3260406914790346782_n“Breakthrough” theme was from 1 John 5:4, “For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world.  And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith”.

God truly did an amazing work among the men who attended.  The men had a great time of growing spiritually and enjoying the fellowship of other men. Thank you for praying for the Men’s Retreat.  God surely did answer your prayers!

As I think about the Men’s Retreat it reminds me–God has a plan and purpose for each one of us and primary among His purpose is that we would share the love of Jesus with others.

At DMW the burden and purpose that God has placed upon our hearts is to share the love of Jesus with Deaf people. When you think about the staggering statistics that only 2% of the Deaf population know Jesus as their personal Savior, you can understand why it is so important–and urgent–that we do all we can to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ to Deaf people everywhere.

Paul said in Acts 20:24, “But my life it worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned to me by the Lord Jesus–the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.” That’s the kind of commitment Paul had to share the gospel with others.  He had a burden for the lost, and he was focused on doing what he knew in his heart God had called him to do.

I believe this is the kind of commitment God wants from us today as well.  So many Deaf people are living their lives without hope and without the knowledge of eternal life.  This compels me to do what I can to share the knowledge of His grace and everlasting love with the Deaf, and it also compels me to ask others to partner with us at DMW.

Since 1989, it has been the faithful prayer and financial support of  others that has made it possible for us to share the life-giving message of Jesus Christ with Deaf people all over the world.

Please prayerfully consider joining with us in sending HIS Light and Truth to Deaf people everywhere. Your support makes the difference in Deaf people’s lives today and for eternity.
