God whispers and sometimes, maybe more times than we realize, He ROARS

CHRISTMAS! God gave His best Present…so that…He could enjoy our presence forever! OK, let’s just stop right there…pause with me for a moment…let that thought sink into our hearts, our souls, our minds, our very being. CHRISTMAS! God gave His best Present…so that…He could enjoy our presence forever!

Why would God do that? I don’t know. I think it will take eternity and beyond for us to even begin to grasp the answer to that question.

I do know that God had a Love Story that burned deep in His heart. He shares His Love Story in 66 Love Letters all wrapped up in one Book, the Holy Bible. There is no other book in all the world that compares with His Love Story Book. It’s the most miraculous, awesome, wonderful, forever true Love Story ever told by the most amazing Story Teller ever to be born.

God reveals in His Love Letters His greatest desire: A FOREVER FAMILY!  To me, WOW, that’s a lot more than interesting because––I want to be with my family forever, too! Don’t you? As I think about it, people are searching for “something” maybe that’s it. Within the heart of every person is that same desire–a desire for a forever family, even though people may not realize that is what they are searching for.

God’s love story starts way back in eternity past; long, long before time began; before the very first God spoken words were recorded in the Bible, “Let there be light,” and there was light” (Love Letter #1, Genesis 1:3).

Those words God spoke, “Let there be light” … do you think God whispered those four words?

I   d o n ‘ t   t h i n k   s o !

I believe God ROARED THUNDEROUSLY LOUD, “LET THERE BE LIGHT” and “there was LIGHT” exploding SOARING outward in every direction like gazillions of lightning bolts piercing the darkness at lightning bolt speed.

Can you imagine God’s excitement because always and forever in eternity past God’s heart longed for a FOREVER FAMILY; and NOW time begins and it’s time for God to begin His FOREVER FAMILY plan and He ROARS “Let there be light”… and His heart ROAR might as well have been,

“I   LOVE  YOU!”

God’s Love Story starts out miraculously, wondrously lovely. God has His perfect FOREVER FAMILY in His perfect forever world…BUT by page 2 in Love Letter #1, the Most Evil Villain (Satan) comes and deceives the Family and everything is a big mess and from that point on every family member is a big mess and held captive by the Most Evil Villain––KIDNAPPED.

As we read the 66 Love Letters, page after page, the Love Story takes many twists and turns, many ups and downs, and it’s a crazy Love Storyeven the craziest Love Story you’ll every read and be a part of (yes, you and I are a part of His Love Story) and throughout the Love Story there are the whispers and ROARS of the promise that one day the ransom would be paid and finally God would have His FOREVER FAMILY with Perfect restored.

But how?

A baby. What? For Real! A baby would be the ransom. Not just any baby. It would have to be a Holy Baby, for only a Holy Baby could pay the MESS DEBT. But where could a Holy Baby be found? Everyone on earth was kidnapped and held captive to sin and death by the Most Evil Villain.

For God’s FOREVER FAMILY to happen, it would require the Holy Son of God to pay the price; He would be the ransom. He would take our sin and give us His holy. He would take The Mess and make The Perfect. And one day the Most Evil Villain will be locked away-always-and-forever-throughout-eternity!

CHRISTMAS! “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life” (Love Letter #43, John 3:16).

CHRISTMAS! “But the angel said to them (shepherds), “Do not be afraid! For behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people: ‘Today in the City of David a Savior has been born to you. He is Christ the Lord! And this will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger” (Love Letter #42, Luke 2:10-12).

Have you had some quiet time with Jesus this Holy Day Season? It’s not too late. I encourage you…get your Bible, go to your Prayer Closet/Quiet Time Place and open your Bible to Luke 2…He wants to meet with you…and me.

Being in God’s presence is life changing––spending time with Him in His Love Letters, listening to Him, talking with Him, thanking and praising Him, and lifting up our concerns to Him––we get to know Him. And to know Him is to want to know Him more.

Jesus, how great Your love is for us.

We want to know You more.

Draw us closer to You.

We love You because You first loved us!
