Blessed Easter Sunday with our Family

Blessed Easter Sunday with our Family

by Rhonda Barrett ~

Gary and I are in Oklahoma having a wonderful time with our family. We flew into Oklahoma City last week and headed south to the cobblestone town of Medicine Park located in the beautiful Wichita Mountains.

Our son, Luke, his wife Angela, and their four girls make their home in Medicine Park where they own a unique toy and book store called, Discovery Outpost.

Check out Discovery Outpost funventures).

A few days later, Luke and his family and also Gary and I, headed north to the historic, quaint town of Guthrie where we met up with our son Rex, his wife Lanie, and their son and daughter. For the next few days Rex and Lanie’s place is home to the twelve of us. It’s a joy to be together again!

Easter Sunday, we attended church together at Frontline Church where Rex continues to be on staff. As I think about my life, as I think about my family…I am reminded of God’s faithfulness…and this song, “My Tribute” written by Andra’e Crouch comes to my mind:

How can I say thanks for the things
You have done for me?
Things so undeserved yet You gave
To prove Your love for me
The voices of a million angels
Could not express my gratitude
All that I am, and ever hope to be
I owe it all to Thee

To God be the glory, to God be the glory
To God be the glory for the things He has done
With His blood He has saved me
With His power He has raised me
To God be the glory for the things He has done

Just let me live my life and
Let it be pleasing Lord to Thee
And if I gain any praise, let it go to Calvary
With His blood He has saved me
With His power He has raised me
To God be the glory for the things He has done.

In James 5:16b we read, “The prayer of a righteous person (mom/dad) is powerful and effective.”

Have you been praying for your loved ones and not seeing answers? Don’t lose heart. Continue praying. God’s timing is not always our timing. Yet, I have experienced His faithfulness, in HIs timing, again and again and again. Praise the Name of the Lord Jesus forever!

To the left is this month’s Scripture Prayer Calendar. Click on the Calendar and the Calendar opens BIGGER in a separate window so that you can read the scripture references easily.

Look up the verse for the day and turn it into a prayer.

The Calendar has helped me, and many other people, faithfully pray for our loved ones day-after-day, month-after-month, year-after-year.  I print my Calendar and keep it with my Bible. Feel free to print the Calendar, too.  Join me as we pray for our loved ones…our good, good Lord is listening.

“God has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end” Ecclesiastes 3:ll.

For thy Kingdom…In Jesus Name, Amen!

We believe the Deaf are the most unreached people group in the world…they are the least, the lost, the last to ‘hear’ the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I ask you to prayerfully consider partnering with us through your prayers and financial support as we continue sending HIS Light and Truth to Deaf people everywhere. THANK YOU!”

P T L !!! I am a new creation in Christ. I love you big sis !!!

  • My dear sister Rosie, How quickly the time has gone by. I thank my God and my Savior for His faithfulness! Truly, how can we say thanks for all the things He has done for us? We are forever in His debt. Praise the Name of Jesus forever. I have known you all my life…and you are a great blessing to me and to so many other people. I love you always and forever!!!
